Ghana is located just a few degrees from the Equator on the Gulf of Guinea. The climate here is pretty warm. It is geographically located at the centre of the world as it is not only near to the Equator but the Greenwich Meridian passes through the country. Christianity and Islam are the major religion practiced in the country. The country comprises of many ethnic groups. No part of the country is ethnically homogenous. The Urban centers or the cities have a mixed population. The ethnic population in the south of the country is very much influenced by the western world as it is close to the Atlantic Ocean.
